3. Principles of Data Processing

The processing of personal data is based on the relevant legal grounds set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (e.g., handling contact requests).
  • Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – where processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party (e.g., ensuring the security and stability of the website).
  • Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – where processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.

Data collected in the course of using our website will be erased or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations prevent erasure.

4. Server Log Files

To ensure the security and stability of our website, your browser automatically transmits certain information to our server and hosting provider (both located in Germany). This may include:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Previously visited page (referrer URL)
  • Pages accessed on our website
  • Date and time of access
  • IP address of the internet connection used

These so-called server log files are stored for a short period of time but are not combined with other data. Longer retention only occurs if the data is required for evidentiary purposes.

A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) pursuant to Article 28 of the GDPR has been concluded to ensure the lawful and secure processing of personal data.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and stable website).

5. Cookies

a) Session Cookies

We do not use cookies on our website. In particular, we do not use tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies.

However, your browser may create temporary “session cookies,” which are typically deleted automatically once the browser is closed. We have no control over this. This data is not transmitted to our server.

b) Cookie Settings in YOUR Browser

You can disable the storage of cookies in your browser settings or delete cookies that have already been stored. How this works depends on your browser. Please refer to the help function or support pages of your browser provider.

6. Contact

If you contact us by email, we will use the data you provide exclusively to process your inquiry. Without this information we may not be able to respond, or only respond in a limited manner.

The data will be erased once communication has been completed, provided no statutory retention obligations apply (e.g., in the context of a contractual relationship).

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
